After examining this horse for a while, he heard a voice, "Are you going to help me get out of here or are you just going to look at me?" Boggled by what he just thought he heard (a horse talk) he jumps on the horse and gallops off. After having ridden for what seemed most half the night, he halted the horse, but the filly kept right on trudging on, just at a slower pace. "Halt....... Halt...." he said half awake. "If we stop now they will catch us and there will be no seeing the Everglades." He heard the voice again. "Horse, is it you that is talking?" He asked curiously. But he heard no response. "Hmph, must just be in my head or some voice from god." he thought to himself out loud.
They moved on ti'll the sun was peaking over the horizon and the dew was newly set on the grass and leaves. This is when the filly finally came to a halt. "What is it? Have we made it?" He whispered. Suddenly the horse was stomping on the ground and several centaurs with bows at the ready came out from the brush. The centaurs were young male, broad shoulders and each with his different style of braided hair that was either jet black, blond or brown. Rolf dismounted and lay down his weapon and shield. They advanced, and tied his hands and blind folded him. They led him on, while he tripped and stumbled many times.
All that Rolf remembers is that he walked for maybe another hour or so, ti'll they came to a stop where he heard clanking and minor bustling of a small village. He could smell some freshly cut and cooking venison and soft muttering amongst a people of whom he did not understand the language. The next thing he hear was a knife being drawn and his bonds being cut, but they kept the blind fold on him. Pushing him into a tent, he stood there....... waiting for instruction. A few words were exchanged and they took the blind fold off. His eyes immediately started dashing and adjusting to his surrounding, grabbing at everything he could see. Low lit fire, rabbit cooking over it, female centaurs and humans alike preparing the meal, excellent stretched skins laid across piles of straw for a bed, that looked so comfortable at this point, and many other things such as pottery to catch the eye. "I hear you are a runaway...." An elder said. "That you were once one of them. Why do you run away? Why do you betray your kind?" "I leave......" He was about to say before he was quickly seated and introduced to a bowl of rabbit and vegetable pourage. He immediately began to eat with as much edicasy as a starving soldier to give. It was complimented with a piece of herb bread and cup of freshly squeezed goats milk.
After finished, he began to speak. "Thank first and foremost for you hospitality. My name is Rolf and I was saying that I left them, because they are wrong to be destroying other people's land for their own greed. The land that rightfully belong to the people, and I did not want to be apart of that." "You are a righteous man to think as so. Though I must ask if you would be willing to join forces with us and help recruit those from other lands to help fight the tyranny before it reaches their lands as well?" The elder asked. "To ask me to go against my own people is a great request...... I will have to ponder on this. Though I do not side with them on their actions, I don't know if I wish to go against those that my mother has told me to obey." "Escort him to his tent! He needs time." The elder yelled to the guards. "But please, first, your name kind sir." Requested Rolf. "You will be privileged to know me, as time goes to prove yourself........"
Just writing down some stories and anything else that comes to mind. Hope people enjoy.

#2 Rolf and the Everglades
The day is waning and the slaves are being sent to their cells for the night. While eating, Rolf plans a strategy for "mass escape." He has been working on this plan for months and has started over on it many times. During his working times, he has managed to embezzle a few items for the escape: two ropes and a pick/axe. The final plans for the escape or set, now they just need to wait for the right time, and this night is the time. Just as he put down his completely eaten plate of food, the alarm broke out. The camp was being raided and soldiers began to bustle down the hall. Immediately, Rolf had a change of plans and brought out one of the ropes and tossed it over to the cell across from him. The other cell mates, understanding what was about to take place, tied their end of the rope to the bars and waited. The soldiers came bustling through in groups of five to seven carrying shields and swords ready for battle.
Rolf, waiting for the guard with the keys, finally pulls the rope, and catches three soldiers by the ankles as they go stumbling to the ground. Rolf quickly reaches for the keys, but with no success. He has no time to waste before they get back up and carry on. With the plate from which he was eating, he slings it at the guard and manages to knock the keys off the belt loop. The soldiers, not seconds later, get up, curse the prisoners and trudge on. With several attempts at trying to loop the keys with his rope, Rolf finally gives up and tries another plan. He ties the small pick/axe to the end of the ropes and slings it onto the keys and successfully drags them to himself. Unlocking his cell, the tosses the keys to the next cell and instructs, "Release all the other prisoners and head north where the free people live! You are traitors now and will be hanged for it! Go! Now!" Listening to his commands they hurry and unlock each cell as Rolf guards the entrance, but no soldiers ever came down to meet his rusted old pick/axe.
After the prisoners scampered away to the north, from the little skirmish, it provided just enough cover and time for them to escape successfully. Rolf on the other hand, went directly to the stables, grabbed what nasty sword and rugged shield he could and went off to find himself a horse. Sorting through the best of them, he eyed one that seemed different....

#1 Rolf and the Everglades
This story starts in a land, where a king has been blinded by his adviser, poisoned with his word to destroy the woodlands for the expansion of his ever growing empire. Not knowing that it is causing an uprising, on the far outskirts of the kingdom to the north.
We come to this land, to where slaves are cutting down trees on the mountain side, several hundred miles north of Rivitia, the capital of the nation. One man with the simple name Rolf, use to be in the kings army, but has seen the kings blindness to upcoming events that would destroy the kingdom and decides to get out. Without permission of his superior officers, Rolf just gets up and leaves, taking his horse he rides the night to get away. He rides north, but is seized along the edge of the Everglades where the slaves are hardest at work tearing down forests for future houses to be built. Taken prisoner there, he will serve his time, cutting and carrying trees and logs from this mountain side.
Rolf stands approximately 6 feet tall with a few inches to spare. He has brown hair, always cut short from his experience in the army. He has dark, blue mysterious eye that are hard to read emotions if any at all and dark clay colored skin. He is brawn from many battles, and now from hard intense labor. The other slaves look up to him, for his leadership, courage, being steadfast and giving of hope.... hope that maybe one day they may escape. His presence brings any enemy a shiver through his bones and allies a sense of valor.
